Would You Rather Beauty Tag

Today, I decided to do a more fun blog post and do the Would you rather beauty tag. I know I am super late on this but I hope you will enjoy it anyways. Here are the questions.

1.  Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or nice hair and no make-up?

Definitely, go out with messy hair and nice make-up. I, personally do not feel as confident with nice hair and no make-up as I do with messy hair and make-up. I think you can still look cute and put together if you have nice make-up and put your hair up in a bun.

2.  Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

I would rather have my eyelashes fall out because I could still put on some natural looking false eyelashes. However, if you shave off your eyebrows and draw them on, it does not look as natural.

3.   Would you rather be forced to shop only at MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?

I have never been to MAC and there is no Sephora close to where I live so I would have to say neither.

4. Would you rather wear lip gloss/lip liner look or 80's perm?

Lip gloss/ lip liner because I think I could make it look nice and pull it off. 80's perm, on the other hand, I would not be able to pull off.

5. Would you rather leave the house  with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

Overdone blush. I think you can still look okay with that and maybe people would think that you are just blushing a lot. An obvious foundation line is not so easy to conceal and no one likes that.

6. Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or bike shorts in public?

MC Hammer pants for sure. I think they are really comfortable and if you wear them with the right clothing it can look nice.

7. Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?

I would rather have really weird tan lines that can't be covered because in my opinion that still looks more natural than bad orange-y spray tan. And who does not get weird tan lines when sunbathing?

8. Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?

I would rather have bad hair color because I could just go to a store and buy a new one and conceal my bad one. Waiting for my hair to grow takes a lot more time.

9. Would you rather have YouTube or twitter taken away?

Twitter for sure. I barely use it so I would not miss it.

10. Would you rather give up using make up brushes or mascara?

I would rather give up using make-up brushes because I could still use my fingers or a sponge to apply my makeup.

I hope you enjoyed this tag.

October Haul

Few days ago, I went shopping because I was on the hunt for a darker Fall/Winter lipstick. I got 5 items which I want to share with you today.

Firstly, I got a make-up remover. A while ago, I read in one book that you can use baby oil to remove your make-up and that is what I have been doing for the past few months. It did remove my face make-up okay but not my eye make-up. Another thing I also did not like about it was the greasy film it left on my face. Therefore, I was on the hunt for a new make-up remover. It was actually quite hard to find an affordable one because most were just eye make-up removers which I was not looking for. After a while, I finally found one by Kruidvat. It is a 2 in 1 product because it is a make-up remover and a moisturizer. It comes in a nice pink packaging and you squeeze out the product. It contains 100ml and has no alcohol or perfume. The way I use it is that firstly, I put it on my face with my fingers and then take a cotton pad which I wet and use that to remove the product. Afterwards, I wash my face with water and use a baby wipe just to make sure that my make-up is really removed.

Secondly, I got a new mascara. Few months ago, I got the Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express mascara which I honestly, do not like. It clumps together my eye lashes and the formula is really wet. Therefore, I decided to buy a new mascara. Few weeks ago, I saw a review of Better Than False Lashes Volume Mascara by Catrice on one of the blogs I follow. I really liked the effect I saw on the pictures and decided to give the mascara a try. The packaging is nice and sturdy. You get 12ml of product and I got my mascara in the shade Ultra Black.

Lastly, I got three lipsticks. First lipstick I got is by Catrice from their Ultimate Shine Gel Lip Colour collection. The color I got is 010 Love's Di-wine. It's a nice dark purple/pink shade, perfect for Fall and Winter. It is a bit sheer and shiny but it is also moisturizing and it does not feel dry on my lips. The downside of this lipstick is the lasting power which is about 3-4 hours.

Second lipstick I got is by Rimmel from their Lasting Finish collection. The color I got is Cutting Edge which is a nice dark purple shade. It is very opaque and noticeable but it looks great on all skin tones. The lasting power is better than the Catrice lipstick which I like but it does feel quite dry on my lips after a while.

Third lipstick I got is again by Rimmel which you can get here. This time it is from their Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss collection. The shade I got is 107 which is a nice dark red color. The lasting power is again, better than the Catrice lipstick but also this lipstick feels a bit dry on my lips which might be because it is a matte lipstick.

I will do a more detailed review on all these products soon so stay tuned for that. If you already own any of these products let me know how you like them.

Negative Thoughts

Today, I want to share a more personal blog post with you. For the past few days, I have noticed a change in my body or better said, in my mind state. In few weeks, my fiancee is going on a school excursion for three days and I keep having thoughts that something will happen to him. I do not know why I have this thoughts because I am sure that he will be fine. I have read a bit on the internet about it and I found out that a lot of people are afraid of losing their loved ones or think that something bad will happen to them. I think the reason for my thoughts is the fact that I am scared to lose my fiancee. We have been in a long distance relationship for 10 months and for the past 4 months we have lived together. I think, I am scared of being away from him again, even if it is just for three days and that is the reason why I have those thoughts. I know this is a short post but I wanted to share it with you. Do you ever experience these moments or thoughts and what is your opinion about it?

10 Ways for a Better Organized Morning

1. Prepare breakfast the night before. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so you should not skip it. You can prepare a sandwich the night before or put a bowl and cereal on the table.

2. Don't have time for blow drying your hair?

  • Brush your hair back and make a low ponytail.
  • Put your hair in a bun. You can also wear a hairband.
  • Put your hair in a ballerina bun.
3. Wear your little black dress. Find the perfect little black dress. Wear statement necklace, bracelets, scarves and other fashion accessories with it.

4. Glowing skin. After cleansing your skin in the evening mix your night cream with a self-tanning cream. Your skin will be glowing in the morning.

5. Fix your hair at work/school. If you have naturally wavy hair wash them in the evening and put them in a bun. Take your hair out of the bun at work or in school and your hair is done.

6. Pick out clothes for the whole week. Pick out your clothes for the whole week on Sunday evening. Put those clothes on hangers and you can put labels on them with days of the week.

7. Simple for combinations. Buy shoes in grey or beige color. These two colors are easiest to wear with anything.

8. Reorganize your makeup. Separate your everyday makeup from makeup for special occasions.

9. Be physically active in the morning. Walk to work instead of driving there with your car. If your work or school is to far away to do that then walk just part of the way. Doing this will give you energy for the whole day. Wear comfortable shoes on your way to work or school and carry your high heels or other shoes in your bag.

10. Organize your purse. If you change your purses frequently then put your essentials (like your makeup, wallet and your phone) in a makeup bag. This will make putting your essentials from one to the other purse easier.

How To Get Over Someone You Love But They Do Not Love You

It is always hard to get over someone you love but they don't love you back. Rejection sucks and we all know it and no one wants to feel rejected. I, have also been rejected as I think most of you have been. I am going to share few tips (which helped me too) on how to get over someone who doesn't love you back.

1. Take your time. It is okay to be sad. It is okay to be angry. It is okay to feel all the emotions you feel after being rejected. You don't have to be ashamed of it. You need time to heal and that is perfectly fine. My advice to you is to take few days, weeks, heck maybe even months (everyone needs different healing time) to heal, to grieve, to get all your emotions out and to start feeling better.

2. Cut all contact with that person. I am sorry to tell you but if you want to get someone out of your mind and your life, you have to stop having any contact with them. I know it is hard but trust me it works. You have to delete their phone number, delete them from your e-mail list, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Wherever you have that person as your contact or friend, you have to delete them. If you happen to have the same group of friends, make sure that he or she is not going to be there too and hang out with your friends without that person.

3. Get rid of anything that reminds you of them. If you have any special items from that person, like a teddy bear, a cd, a movie, etc. give those things to a charity or just throw them away. It is important to get rid of anything that might remind you of that person because that way you will be able to forget about them.

4. Get a hobby or do something fun or something that you love. I know that when you feel rejected all you want to do is lie in bed the whole day and cry but that will not solve anything. Find a hobby you would like, do something that you've always liked, go out with your friends, find a job, work harder in school, take a walk, spend time with your pet, family, etc. When you want to get over someone it is important that you let yourself have some healing time but do other things after that. It is important for you to be busy because that way you won't have time to think about that person.

5. Get back into the dating scene. You have had enough time to heal, so now it is time to get back into the dating scene. It is perfectly fine to start dating new people after you have been rejected and it is also something you should do. Trust me, you will find someone amazing and someone who will truly love you and make you happy.

Do you have any tips on how to get over someone you love but doesn't love you? I would love to hear them in the comments below.

Long Distance Relationships

In today’s world where everyone is busy with work, school or other things it becomes hard to meet someone in real life. More and more people are using online dating sites or other sites where they can meet new people. Sometimes, they fall in love with those people and even though they live far away they try to have a long distance relationship. Can long distance relationships work or are they doomed to failure? People have different opinions about it; some say it works, and some say that it does not work. I am going to mention some negative and positive aspects of long distance relationships which are freedom, trust, cost and distance.

Even though most people think long distance relationships cannot work there are some positive aspects of it. Firstly, "it gives more time for yourself". Being in a long distance relationship allows you to have more time for yourself. You can do all the things that you want to do and you have more freedom even though you are in a relationship. Secondly, people in long distance relationships trust each other more than people in non-long distance relationships. When you are in a long distance relationship you have to trust your partner completely, in order to make the relationship work.

Image

Along with the positive aspects of long distance relationships there are also some negative aspects of them. Firstly, long distance relationships can get expensive. In order to see your partner you have to pay for the bus, train or plane ticket which can be expensive, especially if you live far away from your partner and if you are still a student. Secondly, there is a "fear of your partner cheating or being unfaithful". In a long distance relationship you are not with your partner a lot and therefore you do not see what they are actually doing. There is always a possibility that your partner will cheat on you and that is why trust is very important.

Image
On one hand, "distance can make the heart grow fonder". When you do not see your partner for a longer period of time it makes you appreciate the little things more. You appreciate hugging, kissing and spending time with your partner more than you would in a non-long distance relationship. On the other hand, you miss your partner a lot. In a long distance relationship you cannot be with your partner a lot and therefore you miss them. Missing them and not seeing them so often can have a negative impact on the relationship and can also lead to a break up.

As with any relationship, long distance relationships have negative and positive aspects. When two people really want to be together then no distance or time is big enough to tear them apart. Long distance relationships do take more effort and energy but in the end when you close the distance it is all worth it.

What are your thoughts on Long distance relationships?

Motivation to Exercise

How to motivate yourself?
Every beginning is hard so do not give up. Here are few tips on how to motivate yourself to exercise.

  1. Try different kinds of exercise. You must find out which type of exercise you enjoy the most.
  2. Set days, hours and the type of exercise. This way it will be easier to coordinate your exercise with other obligations.
  3. Start slowly. Choose your own pace and intensity and do not compare yourself to others.
  4. Take care of the suitable equipment. This is the only way that you will enjoy exercising.
  5. Find and write a motivational quote and put it somewhere in your room where you can see it all the time.
  6. Set realistic goals. Do not set goals that are too high in the beginning but do that gradually. Goals should be effective, measurable and set with a date.
  7. Think about the results that regular exercise will bring. Apart from feeling good, having a toned body, better condition, more energy, you will also have better health.
  8. Buy a sports watch and keep track of time, intensity, amount of exercise, burned calories and your progress. Over time you will notice progress and this will give you motivation to continue.
  9. Listen to your favorite music, which will make you feel good. By listening to music you will also lose track of time and therefore will not hate exercising.
  10. Get an exercise buddy.
  11. Do not overreact and do not forget to rest.

How to Organize Your Closet

1. Rule of 2 years. Put all of your clothes on your bed and have a look at them. All of the clothes that you haven't worn in 2 years give away. Do the same with your shoes.

2. Order in your closet. Put all of your sweaters on shelves according to color and thickness or any other system. This way your clothes will hold shape longer and you will know exactly where something is.

3. Protection against dust and moths. Put your summer clothes in plastic bags or boxes and label them. Do the same with shoes. You can even take a picture of your shoes and put it on the front of the box.

4. Where and how with jewellery.
  • Buy a cork board and put color pins in the board. Put your jewellery on the pins.

  • You can also buy a jewellery holder and put your jewellery on there.

  • Buy an ice tray and put your little pieces of jewellery in it.

5. Nicely put. Put little pieces of underwear in decorative boxes or put some decorative paper over old shoe boxes. You can also use boxes for cookies.

6. Colorful. When you are hanging up your clothes do it this way: put pants together, skirts together, etc. Individual types of clothing (pants, shirts, etc.) divide with a different colored hanger. You can fill the empty space under the hangers with boxes in which you can put belts, scarves, purses, etc.

7. Nicely organized. If you don't have shelves in your closet but only drawers then roll your clothes next to each other and do not put them on top of each other.

8. Smelling nice. You can protect your clothes against moths by putting a bag of dry lavender in your closet. If you want to make your closet just to smell nice then put a little bit of essential oil on a cotton pad and put it on the shelf between the clothes.

9. Everyday chores.

  • Put clean clothes to your closet immediately.
  • Throw dirty clothes in the laundry basket. You can get two baskets; one for white clothes and one for other clothes.
  • Fold each piece of clothing that you can wear again so that it won't get wrinkles. Put the clothes that don't have to be washed yet on a standing hanger or a special pile.
