100 Beauty Tips, part 2

11. Cooled. Secret tip for all seasons, not just summer: put your moisturizer in the fridge. Colder moisturizer will reduce the size of your pores and your complexion will look nicer.

12. Push-up... without washing your hair! Divide your hair into 5cm wide pieces. Wrap them around your hand and secure the hair with bobby pins. Spray a little bit of hairspray and let your hair to dry completely. Remove the bobby pins and your hairstyle is done.

13. Multi-purpose tea. For oily skin: dip a cotton pad in chamomile tea and apply it to your face. Rinse with lukewarm water after 15 minutes. For under eye bags: put two wet mint tea bags in the fridge and leave them inside for about an hour. After an hour take them out, let them cool a litlle bit, and put the tea bags on your eyes for 10 minutes.

14. Experts advice. Complexion illuminator makes your face look better with an even glow and provides the sophisticated natural flushing face. Try the Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup SPF 10.

15. Cheers! We all know how important it is to drink enough water so start drinking enough water today.

16. Alarm. If you have red eyes after a night out use a white eyeliner that you apply on your lower lash line.

17. No excuses. No matter how late you get home, always remove your makeup. Put makeup remover wipes on your nightstand so you can remove your makeup even if you are half asleep. You can use Nivea Visage Facial Cleansing Wipes for Normal & Combination skin or for Dry & Sensitive skin.

18.  Unbelievable. If you have some eye cream left on your fingers after applying it around your eyes, use that leftover cream around your lips, and any small lines around your lips will disappear.

19. Never without. As soon as the sun starts shining put on sunglasses.Squinting causes small lines which you definitely don't need yet.

20. Number 1. Celebrities are like chameleons when it comes to dying their hair. Scarlett Johansson recently revealed how she protects her hair: with Kerastase Resistance Bain de Force Shampoo.

100 Beauty Tips, part 1

Here are first 50 beauty tips. Enjoy :)

1. Seductive Look. I know you don't want to put on a lot of makeup during the summer but at least use mascara. Ideal for flirting is a waterproof mascara (like this mascara Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Waterproof Mascara).

2. Blue Miracle. For a bolder look put on a black waterproof mascara and then put a blue mascara just on the ends of your eyelashes.

3. Attack. Puffy eyes? You can use a bag of mint tea, soaked in warm water and put it on your eyes. You can also use fresh cucumber slices or two teaspoons that you stored in the fridge.

4. Two shades. You can get that summery, bronzy look with two different shades of blush. Golden shade under your cheekbones and on your temples will give an impression of tan. Soft pink shade on the apples of your cheek will make your face look fresh and dewy. You can use L'Oreal Paris The One Sweep Sculpting Blush Duo in Poppy.

5. No Nail Polish Remover? No Panic. There's nothing worse that a chipped nail polish. If your nail polish is chipping and you don't have a nail polish remover with you, use this trick. Put another nail polish on your nails (the color doesn't matter), wait few seconds, so that the two layers adhere and take both nailpolishes off with a cotton pad or tissue paper.

6. Sparkling. Use shimmery eyeshadow for a night out. Be careful not to use too much shimmery eyeshadows because you don't want to look like a disco ball.

7. Make up artist favorite. Small, multi-purpose miracle, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream.

8. Black = Beautiful. Liven dark hair color with coffee. Brew a cup of turkish coffee, let it cool, drain, and put it on dry hair when you're taking a shower. Leave it on for 10 minutes, and then rinse it off with warm water.

9. Maximize fullness. A trick for maximizing fullness of your lips: put a little bit of shimmer on the centre of your lips.

10. Cheap. To make your toner last longer, wet a cotton pad with warm water and squeeze. Put your toner on the cotton pad and clean your face.

Beauty Secrets #4: Skin, part 2

Evening routine (most moisturizers are more effective when applied to damp skin):

  • Cleanse: Use just one product to remove makeup and dirt. If you have dry skin use a lotion or cream-based product. If you have normal to oily skin use a gel cleanser or a very mild facial soap. Even though your skin might be oily use a gentle soap like Neutrogena or Dove.

  • Exfoliate: Exfoliating is necessary to get blood flowing into the face, as well as to remove grime. Use: a packet of sugar, add a couple of drops of olive oil to make it easier to spread, and gently rub it into the creases of your face.
  • Open a packet of instant oatmeal and mix it with water to create a paste. Rub it into your face, and rinse off the residue. Use instant oatmeal on your face and traditional old-fashioned oatmeal on your body.
  • Rub sea salt all over your body and face.

  • Masks: a lot of expensive mud or clay treatments in the spas are actually kitty litter. It has to be  100 percent natural clay. Take a tablespoon of the dried clay and reconstitute it with a small amount of water.

  • Other masks:
  • Ultimate cleansing mask (in a blender or food processor, grind 1 cup of oatmeal to a powder. Add 3 drops of almond oil, ½ cup of milk, and 1 egg white. Continue to blend and apply. Rinse off after 20 minutes.)
  •  Peach and Brandy (mash up a peach, use ripe, canned or frozen one, and mix it with a tablespoon of brandy. Leave it on for 20 minutes, and rinse off.)
  • Tomato mask (for oily skin, mash up a ripe tomato and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.)
  • Banana mask (mash up a very ripe banana. Add just enough honey to make a soft pulp. Apply over face and hair. )
  • Honey mask (apply pure honey straight from the bottle to your face and neck. Allow it to set until dry, about 15 minutes. Rinse with very warm water.)
  • Milk of Magnesia Oil-Absorbing mask: (apply it straight from the bottle. Let it dry for about 5-10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.)
  • Pepto-Bismol: (for sensitive skin, apply it from the bottle with a cotton swab. Allow it to dry and rinse with cool water).
  • To revitalize and nourish the skin soak whole dried beans or lentils (fresh are best) overnight. Mash and add a small amount of honey. Apply over face and neck. Leave it on for about 5 minutes and rinse with tepid water.
  • To tone up tired skin make up a smooth pulp of crushed cucumbers, and gently pat all over face and neck. Pull up your hair and apply a little bit behind the ears and behind the neck.
  • This facial is great for oily skin and clogged pores. Mix ¼ cup vodka with the juice of one fresh lemon. Dab it on the face, neck, and chest area with a cotton swab. It’s not necessary to rinse off.
  • Clove oil cleanser: combine equal amounts of clove oil, chamomile, and eucalyptus. Massage gently into the skin by making circular motion with the tips of your fingers, and rinse.
  • Crisco: use it to remove makeup and as a highly effective moisturizer.
  • Wheat germ oil: It keeps the skin elastic and preventing and treating stretch marks so it’s perfect for pregnant women.
  • Sweet almond oil: ideal for removing makeup, helping eyelashes grow, and as a moisturizer for extremely dry skin. It also soothes sunburned skin.
  • Bathing: add some baking soda to your bath (about half a box). It will soothe itching skin, irritation, and sunburn.
  • Use Epsom salts (about one-half pound) to relax muscles and relieve swelling.
  • Try some instant oatmeal (or grind any other to a powder) in the tub to get rid of sunburn.
  • Apple cider vinegar will invigorate the body and fight fatigue.
  • Adding a spoonful of honey is said to help insomnia.
  • Combine a cup of instant milk powder with 3 drops of almond oil. Soak for at least 15 minutes, then using a cloth or loofah, rub vigorously to exfoliate.
  • When you feel a cold coming on, take a tea-spoon of mustard powder and add it to a hot bath.
  • Orange slices in the bath are uplifting and beat any aromatherapy.
  • Use red wine as an acid-based toner.

  • Hoof maker (a hoof conditioner for horses) softens cuticles, heels, and other rough spots.
  • Bag Balm is great on chapped lips and as extra protection during cold weather on hands and face.
  • Kalaya Oil is a great moisturizer.
  • Moisturizer know-how: don’t over moisturize, use cream on specific areas.
  • Choose the right formula for your skin type.
  • Get more from your moisturizer by gently tapping the face pretending it’s a piano, and you’re playing it.
  • Any moisturizer can be stretched by first applying a film of natural vegetable oil as a base.
  • Wait until a moisturizer is completely absorbed before applying foundation. If a foundation is a bit dry, moisturizer can loosen it up a bit and the foundation will go on more smoothly.

How to: Pore Strips

I found this recipe online and I thought I would share it with you. Enjoy :)

What you need:

1. Gelatin

2. Milk

3. A bowl

4. A tablespoon

Throughout doing this make sure you work fast because the gelatin becomes hard very fast. First mix one tablespoon of gelatin with 1-2 tablespoons of milk. Mix it together until you don't have clumps anymore. Put it in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds and they immediately apply it on your face with an old brush or something else. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and peel it off. This will remove any dead skin and blackheads you might have.

Have you ever done this? How you liked it?
